Although still young as a company, we can look back on many years of experience of offering X-ray systems for non-destructive testing (NDT). The merger of Philips Industrial X-Ray and ANDREX A/S founded YXLON International in 1998, retroactive October 1st 1997. Shortly after LumenX and in 2003 HAPEG GmbH were acquired and incorporated into YXLON International. Each company brought in its specific knowledge and experience.
The acquisition of YXLON International by COMET Holding GmbH in 2007 made it possible to integrate another company with a long tradition in the industrial X-ray field in the YXLON family: The COMET Business Unit FEINFOCUS was renamed in YXLON International Feinfocus GmbH in October 2007. The pioneer in Microfocus X-ray Alfred Reinhold founded FEINFOCUS in 1982 with his development of the first commercially viable, open microfocus X-ray tube suited for industrial use. The company has since specialized on microfocus X-ray and CT-systems.
Based on this different know-how, YXLON International is able to offer its customers a wide range of X-ray and CT products and services. Today YXLON International is a leading supplier in X-ray based non-destructive testing equipment with Sales and Service representatives in over 50 countries.
