The Y.MU 231 is the most successful X-ray wheel inspection system in its class worldwide. It is designed for the X-ray inspection of unmachined wheels up to 350mm height and 550mm in diameter and with the MU 231XL for wheels up to 400mm height and 650mm in diameter.
The conveying shuttles, acting also as radiation shielding, supersede any special X-ray protection door for loading and unloading for this wheel inspection system.
The X-ray based wheel inspection system can be operated in two standard modes: In the semi automated mode the manipulation of the wheels as well as the X-ray parameters are controlled by the numeric control. During operation every inspection position of the wheel is acknowledged by the operator with a "accept" or "reject" decision. With the preset is defined whether a "reject" decision stops the wheel inspection sequence or not. In the manual operation mode the operator positions the wheel via joysticks and adjusts the X-ray parameters manually.
The Y.MU 231 X-ray wheel inspection system fits with the most standardized conveyor systems and can be operated either in mixed mode or batch mode.
