YXLON offers CT scanning of inspection items on a linear accelerator as one of its services. Ideally, a linear accelerator is utilized in order to tomograph complex inspection items that are difficult to pentrate, items with which the energy generated by conventional X-ray tubes is insufficient.
A detailed, full-scale insight into the inspection item is obtained using this method. The views obtained supply valuable information for product developmemt and for quality control. With an energy source of 11MeV, the YXLON linear accelerator is capable of X-raying inspection items with very high densities, and can depict those items subsequently in the form of three-dimensional models. The data gained are prepared and processed afterward so that they are available to the customer for analysis in various forms.
